Our Story

The DoughCone’s™ founder, Avneesh “Avi” Oberoi, comes from a background with over 80 years of family history in the food business.

After traveling the globe as a consultant and working on some amazing projects, he realized his favorite part of the day was trying new and unique cuisine everywhere he went – especially desserts.

He had a vision of producing and introducing a quality and unique treat to his hometown, at a price people could afford.

Avi’s vision for success focuses on two things: high-quality ingredients and sending guests away with a smile.

In a world filled with high fructose corn syrup, a business that wasn’t focused on cutting costs to help. There’s a reason soft serve costs a dollar and it’s because it’s not ice cream.

He wondered why people added artificial fillers and preservatives to food when they could make everything from scratch with the freshest ingredients and serve it in the most unique ways without charging an arm and a leg.

The DoughCone™ is his first step in what will be a long line of fun and innovative treats to share with Houston.

With the blessing of the Monster PB&J truck owners, he restored their truck and set out to make a better, more tasty dessert to win the hearts of people across the city.

So far, he’d say The DoughCone has succeeded at it’s mission to “Dough it Better”
